K2A is a member of the Knowledge To Action group of companies, which employs over 100 people across the globe, with operations in the UK, Singapore and Australia. Who do we act for when providing these services ... We act on our own behalf when providing financial product advice to you. We act under our own AFSL when we provide a financial service to you. |
Other documents you may receive … In general, we will not provide you with personal advice, that is, advice that takes into account one or more of your objectives, financial situation and needs or advice which could reasonably be regarded as having done so. It is our policy to, generally, only provide general advice and information regarding financial products in which we are authorised. In such cases this information or advice will not take into account one or more of your particular objectives, financial situation or needs and because of that you should, before acting on the advice, consider the appropriateness of the advice having regard to your objectives, financial situation and needs. However, in limited circumstances, as part of our “coaching” services. we may provide personal advice. In such circumstances, we will give you (and you may request) a Statement of Advice (“SoA”) or a Statement of Additional Advice (“SoAA”) or a Record of Advice (“RoA”). Where personal advice is given, the SoA/SoAA provided will contain the advice, the basis on which it is given and other information such as our fees and any associations we have with financial product issuers or other parties which may have influenced the advice. You will not receive a SoA or SoAA where we give you further personal advice (after the initial personal advice) and your relevant personal circumstances are not significantly different from your relevant personal circumstances in our previous SoA or SoAA. In such cases the details of such personal advice will be documented in a RoA. We will maintain records of any RoA for at least 7 years. Should you require a copy of any SoA/SoAA/RoA then please contact us to request a copy. Our contact details are set out at the end of this FSG. If we provide you personal advice and recommend to you a particular financial product, you may also receive a Product Disclosure Statement (“PDS”) prepared by the relevant product issuer which will contain information about the particular product, including any relevant terms, significant risks and details of other fees and charges which may apply. This document will be provided to assist you in making an informed decision about that product. Who is responsible for the financial services provided ... K2A will be providing the financial services to you through its representatives. K2A is responsible for the actions of its representatives and the financial services provided. How you can instruct us ... K2A is not authorised by its AFSL to accept instructions from you to deal in a financial product. Should you wish to act on the advice provided by us, you should give your instructions to a licensee authorised to transact on your behalf. |
K2A Remuneration K2A provides financial product advice by virtue of its training and coaching services. A fee is payable when you attend one of our courses or purchase coaching sessions additional to the complimentary ones packaged with the course. Current pricing for our educational products can be found on our website at www.knowledgetoaction.com.au In addition, we also receive remuneration from third party product providers whose products you may choose to use in conjunction with our services. How does K2A pay its representatives ... Our representatives are paid by way of retainer or salary and may also receive discretionary bonuses linked to performance. Some of our representatives also earn a fee where they achieve sales to our courses from attendees at our free seminars. Our representatives may also qualify for non-monetary benefits if they meet performance targets. Incentives include non-monetary rewards such as sports tickets and attendance at conferences. The type of these benefits will vary depending on particular circumstances, such as the representative’s position. We maintain a register of any benefits that our representatives receive. If you have a complaint, how it will be dealt with… We want to know about any problems or concerns you may have with our advice or services so we can take steps to resolve the issue. We have internal and external dispute resolution procedures to resolve complaints from clients. A copy of these procedures may be obtained by contacting us and requesting a copy. If you ever have challenges or are not satisfied with our services you may make a complaint. Please contact our Compliance Manager at: Compliance Manager compliance@knowledgetoaction.com.au K2A has formalised client complaint resolution procedures. Initially, all complaints are reviewed and investigated by the Compliance Manager. If you make a complaint, our first response will be to contact you to discuss the complaint and to register a formal record of such complaint. We will try to resolve your complaint quickly and fairly. If, despite our best efforts, you believe your complaint has not been satisfactorily dealt with, you have the ability to escalate your concerns to an external body for a resolution, namely, the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). K2A is a member of this complaints resolution scheme and our membership number is 14670. In order for a complaint to be considered by FOS, the claim must be no more than $500,000. The maximum total value of the remedy that may be decided upon by FOS is limited to $280,000. This is a Free call Infoline. This is another alternative that you may use to make a complaint and obtain information about your rights. Our Compensation Arrangements ... K2A has professional indemnity insurance in place which complies with the requirements of s912B of the Corporations Act. Our professional indemnity insurance takes into account the nature and volume of our business, the number of clients and kind of clients we have, our representatives and the maximum potential extent of our liability. This professional indemnity insurance covers claims in relation to the conduct of current employees as well as employees who no longer work for K2A (but did at the time of the relevant conduct). |
For what purpose do we use your contact data or personal information… We recognise the importance of ensuring that you have confidence in the way we handle your personal information and that it is kept private. Privacy is an important issue for us and we are committed to ensuring full compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the National Privacy Principles forming part of that Act. The personal information that we collect from you will only be used by us to assist in the planning of marketing proposals, education seminars and the provision of general financial product advice to clients. Our associations & relationships with others ... We do not have any relationships or associations with financial product issuers which might influence us in providing you with our financial services.
